The Challenge

Plastic pollution in schools and communities met with limited waste management solutions and low environmental awareness.

My Role

Project mentor guiding learners through design thinking and sustainability practice from concept to exhibition.

Solution

Learners repurposed used plastics into planters waste bins decorative lighting and school beautification products.

Impact

The project qualified for regional science and innovation competitions and demonstrated circular economy thinking using materials already on hand.

Transforming waste into opportunity while helping learners see environmental challenges as design problems waiting to be solved.
