Unlocking Potential:

Inclusive Education That Transforms Lives in Kenya and Beyond

Special Needs Educator | Disability Inclusion Advocate | Community Bridge-Builder in Kenya

Meet The Founder

“Inclusion isn't a policy on paper, it's the heartbeat of a just society.” – Felix Otieno

I’m Felix Otieno, a Kenyan special needs educator turned advocate, fueled by the belief that every learner’s story deserves a spotlight. From rural classrooms where stigma silences potential to national programs bridging gaps, I’ve dedicated my life to turning barriers into breakthroughs.

Growing up in Kenya, I witnessed how one overlooked need could dim a child’s future. Now, through empathy-driven strategies and collaborative networks, I create spaces where disabilities become strengths, healing communities one inclusive step at a time.

Featured Work

Build a World of Play (BaWOP) Medical Screening:

Project implemented by Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) under the funding by the LEGO Foundation, I worked alongside various specialists in the screening of over 4,000 learners in special schools, delivering onsite interventions and providing assistive devices to kids like little Amina, who heard birdsong for the first time. Early interventions like these rewrite futures, proving play is every child’s right

Play Based Learning Training, CHAI and MoE

With the CHAI and Ministry of Education, I trained 200+ teachers on adaptive play in Kenya’s diverse classrooms. Witnessing educators transform rigid lessons into joyful explorations—where a wheelchair-bound student leads a game—shows inclusion’s ripple effect.

Edugreen by Kosi Africa:

In Kenya’s heartlands, learners with disabilities plant indigenous trees, sell seedlings, and fund their education. One group raised KSh 50,000 for assistive tech, blending eco-stewardship with empowerment in a uniquely African way.

Rethink Plastics, St. Paul’s Igonga Boys High School:

Students repurpose waste into art and tools, fostering creativity amid Kenya’s plastic crisis. An Inclusive group of teen’s recycled planter project not only greened his school but sparked his confidence to advocate locally

The Silent Voice, COMING SOON:

My podcast amplifies Kenyan stories—from parents navigating stigma to educators innovating. Episodes like ‘Voices from the Margins’ have reached 10,000+ listeners, shifting conversations on disability rights.
