The Challenge

In underserved regions, broken Braille-writing equipment can be the single barrier between a blind learner and literacy.

My Role

Co-facilitated the maintenance programme alongside a colleague from the Kenya Union of the Blind, assessing 18 Perkins Braillers and restoring the majority to working condition.

Impact

Restored access to essential literacy tools for learners with visual impairments in a historically underserved region.
